Highlighting text

How do highlight a portion of text?

I don't think you can. Nor can you "box" selected text. It's a paragraph or nothing with this software. Try to box a section of your document ... if there's a carriage return in the highlighted section, each paragraph will have it's own box ... and the boxes aren't even perfect.
