Posted by Nic Nel on Mon Oct 9 2006 at 3:04:53 PM
Jimi Gooding has tried to downplay my fears by suggesting that I am only the target of unsuccessful spammers. If one looks at the amount of band width used, I would say they have successfully invaded...

Posted by Douglas Rosenberg on Mon Mar 20 2006 at 9:08:32 PM
Follow up: Upon further testing, the problem turns out to be related to BitDefender. If virus protection on the LS SMTP server is disabled, the messages do get through.
I'd be interested in knowing...

No, I do have the most recent definitions, and the mail was processed by the server. The ironic thing is that when I open the message using the web interface, the attachment is there (xxx.scr), along ...

I've had the spam filtering turned off for a couple of days and it wasn't that.
I've disabled AVG which was running on the server (although I had already excluded Lansuite folder) and th...

I have BitDefender installed on the Mail Server and Norton Internet Security 2004 installed on the workstations. Both are set to check for updates daily, but only NIS2004 seems to be detecting the vir...
